I have just moved from owning an iPhone and had one for years with upgrades along the way. I just found the cost of the phones were getting higher and higher. I then decided to take the plunge and go for an Android phone and found this little beauty which seemed to have all the specs I have got used to with my iPhone. Reading some reviews it seemed like the one for me. I must say it has met all my requirements that I need. I do not need it to have a good camera but I must say pictures seem very good speacily for the price. The battery is the only thing that lets it down but for general use it lasts a day without charging. Apart from that it does all my iPhone did like face recognition fingerprint ID and most important to me Google pay which works like a treat. You can download apps off of Google play store with no issues. I think for a first phone with some great functions that you have to pay a lot more on others this wins hands down. I hope this helps anyone else who is thinking of getting this phone as I too was dubious at first but must say it is a very good phone for the price.

Upgraded to this phone from my Huawei P20. It's not too dissimilar from the P20. Out of the box it is simply stunning to look at, the finish on the rear of the phone is outstanding. I like the fact that the screen is uninterrupted apart from a small aperture at the top for the "selfie" camera, the fingerprint sensor being on the rear of this model. The build quality is excellent and it feels nice and sturdy in the hand. I also like that you can use decent earphones with it without having to have an adaptor (as the P20's headphone jack is combined with the dedicated charger port). The earphones that come with the P30 lite are quite disappointing so this is plus point. I'm not one of those who buy a phone for it's camera, a phone is a phone after all but the camera works very well even though I'm not likely to use all the features associated with it. The screen response time is fast even with a glass screen protector and the battery life is good, with constant use I get around 2-3 days on a full charge. All in all it's a brilliant phone and I'm happy with the choice I made.
