Deal from Mobiles.co.uk was excellent. I was with EE and when I asked them if they could match it they couldn't, in fact they were approx £170 more expensive for the same deal. It's their own network! Item arrived next day. No problems at all. Very impressed with mobiles.co.uk service.
I'm not too enamoured with EE during this process. Firstly for not allowing people to port their number from one EE account to another (might be an industry thing). I had to do a 'porting triangle'.
Secondly because EE 'lost' the PAC code when I was porting my number back to them, despite the fact they had emailed me on Thursday lunchtime to acknowledge the PAC code and to say that my swap was underway.
When it hadn't completed by Friday evening I got in touch to be advised they couldn't find the PAC code?! I gave them it again, and was then advised that the team that does the porting had finished for the day, didn't work weekends, and it would be Monday before they would get to it, and therefore Tuesday before I got my number back. The girl I spoke with at EE's Wexford centre was polite and helpful, but I was pretty unhappy with EE if I'm honest.
Eventually got a text on Tuesday lunchtime to advise it had completed.”
