“Fast, however feels like a down grade from the pixel 2 (which is a very bad sign) . The loss of the finger print if is annoying, factual recognision is ok but can be annoying if you don't want to unlock your phone. Also facial recognition doesn't work with a lot of apps including banking apps.”
“Just 'upgraded' from a Pixel 2 and what a downgrade it is. Why do manufacturers change things that do not require changing. The UI is now awful. Although it looks the same, the navigation is frustrating as hell. I can't see any performance upgrade with it either. And the worst thing now is the lack of fingerprint scanner. It's now facial recognition...fine if all the apps work with it, which hardly any do. I often use my phone to check the time, but now when I do, I unlock the phone! It's all a step backward for me.”
“It's a great phone and definitely an improvement on the Pixel 3. It has the latest hardware and Android version.
Interestingly, the fingerprint functionality has not been carried forward to the P4 from the P3. You'll notice that some apps at the moment therefore wont allow you to use biometrics with the P4 as fingerprint only is supported on many.”
