MODELROCK - LASH PLAY - DIY At Home Lash Extensions - *MIXED STYLES 12 sets* Reviews

5 Rating 4 Reviews
So, I'm not a lash specialist or anything of the sort, but I wanted to share an honest review for those who are in the same boat that I was. Because my lashes are so important to me. I have been getting lash extensions done for several years, by a technician in Melbourne CBD. I absolutely love their work, so much so, that I went back every two weeks, traveling an hour each way just for these lashes. I am quite picky with my style as I have an almond eye shape and I like the look of a more rounded, natural, doll eye style. I like my lashes fluffy and around 10mm (around the same length as my natural lashes). After years of lash extensions, I decided to give my lashes a break, as I was starting to notice my lashes thinning out and becoming patchy. But now, without lashes, I don't like how I look. SO, I did my research on what alternatives are currently available. I needed a solution. I needed something that wasn't going to damage my natural lashes and I also needed them to be cost effective. (Anything under $200 a month was going to save me money). First, I found magnetic lashes. I thought these were going to be revolutionary! They absolutely were not! They were so hard to use. Even practice didn't seem to matter! They were just really, really hard to get right along your lash line and they were far from "natural" looking. You could clearly tell I was wearing false lashes. Plus, you had to reapply them every day, and I would carve out an additional 30 minutes in the morning, just praying I could get them on right. After about a month of trying to make these work every day, I went back to the drawing board. Next, I found DIY lash extensions from another company. Basically the same as MODELROCK, in the way that you use a bond, sealer, place the lashes under your natural lashes. At first, I spent atleast an hour applying these. But, practice make perfect. Every 3-4 days, I'd remove them, clean them, repeat. I did exactly what was advised when applying them, but tbh, I ended up just playing around with them myself and found a really great way to apply them that was easier for me. Eventually, after about a month of using these lashes, I had gotten the hang of it and it had prcticed enough to get the application time down to 10 - 15 minutes. Overall, I love the DIY lash idea, but, the lashes from this company were not fluffy and you really had to stack them.. they just really weren't achieving the look that I got when I was going to the salon. So, this is when I found MODELROCK. At first, I purchased just this product, as I couldn't go wrong with 12 sets for $50 (I applied these with the bond and applicator from the previous company). I still have several sets left from this pack that are just not my style and are too long or curly for what I'm going for, but I have absolutely adored a handful of sets in this pack. And even just using 4 - 5 sets in this pack, it is EXTREMLY cost effective. There is one set in particular, that wasn't my first choice to try initially, but eventually, I tried them and they are gorgeous! Everything I've been looking for. (It's funny how you think one set will look a certain way just by looking at the clusters, but you really don't know until you try them!) So, after trying this set and being finally so satisfied with the quality and the price, I contacted customer service immediately, asking if they sold this specific set individually (so I could stock up ) Unfortunately not! Customer service were so lovely though! They sent me links to two sets that were similar to what I was looking for. So, I purchased one of the sets they reccomended and I purchased ANOTHER mixed style set of 12 (just in case). So, my final review of this product and this company.. Shipping is very fast (even without express post). Customer service is on point! Product, divine. Quality Price, so affordable! (I'm saving so much money and time and saving my lashes too!) You also get a little 'thank you' card with your name on it with every purchase. So cute! I've just used their bond and sealer for the first time and it's 10x better than the other brand I was using before. The bond is so secure! These lashes are not going anywhere! (Also LOVE that the bond is black and not clear). I have found my own technique with application of DIY lashes and have practiced for months now. If you're trying these out for the first time, just be patient. You will get better at it. And yes, you will probably get bond and/or sealer in your eye and yes it hurts, so much The only thing that I wish was available is that one set that I love in this mixed style set. I would honestly just purchase these in bulk if I could. The sets that were reccomended to me are similar but they're not what I'm going for/looking for as they're a tiny bit too long and they're not fluffy and thick.. they're thin and sparse. For now, I'll continue to purchase this pack until I find a set that is what I'm looking for. But I won't be going anywhere else for my lashes ever again! If you're unsure of this product or even with the company, bite the bullet! You won't be disappointed.
