“It’s a pretty table and very heavy, but I don’t think a protective coat was added to the top of the table. The top feels rough and dull to the touch and stains VERY easily. The only way to clean it is to scrub with a magic eraser. We have had the table for less than a year (no kids, only two clean adults) and the top looks much older than it should.”
