Our Egg chair inspired by Jacobsen features a molded internal shell made of a fiber-reinforced polymer, not cheap plastic. For the upholstery, we use our exclusive North America made boucle fabric, which is 100% polyester with a Greenshield stain guard. At 250k double rubs, it is considered high performance.

“My chair is leather and not boucle. Craftsmanship is excellent but I was disappointed to find that there’s us so stiff and there’s no give in the chair or cushion. Perhaps this will change over time. I did send an inquiry upon receiving it but never got a reply. Since I never had the option or opportunity to sit in the chair, I accept responsibility. Just wish it was a bit softer and more comfortable.”

“We absolutely love our Egg Chair. I looked at dozens of sites, but few came close to Modern Classics for quality and customer service. All my questions were answered promptly -- from fabric samples to chair tilt. And delivery happened within a reasonable window as well. It was only slightly delayed and arrived incredibly well packaged and in perfect shape. We have been enjoying the chair for a couple of months now and can't say enough about Modern Classics!!”
