“I was very nervous about trying this product because of the expense (5 pairs equivalent to several years worth of disposable sanitary pads!), and because of mixed reviews of period pants in general, but I wanted to go plastic free for the environment. After lots of research, I decided to try Modibodi because, although they were more expensive than other brands, they seemed to have the best reviews for heavy flows, and I like how the protection goes up the entire back of the pants to prevent night time leaks. The first 2-3 days of my period are usually very heavy, and despite my fears, I had NO LEAKS! Even at night time! They fit well, and are comfortable to wear. They feel much dryer on than when wearing my usual disposable pads, and I was so impressed by their absorption, and they were easy to wash. So glad that I finally took the plunge and had my first plastic free period!”

“I bought these, as have been experiencing pain in removing tampons towards the end of my periods, when the flow is less. I am peri-menopausal, and hence have extremely heavy flow on the first couple of days, so thought I would test my new "pants" out on these days! I have to say, they certainly absorbed everything, which I was most surprised about. No fear of leakage whatsoever. I'm just not convinced I really like the feel of bleeding throughout the day, so for me, I'd rather wear a tampon on my heavier days. But I will definitely wear these for my lighter days, so that I no longer need to suffer the pain on tampon removal. Would definitely recommend getting in black (this was the only colour available to me, but I would have gone for a different colour if I'd had the choice), as would not have really wanted to see the blood at each visit to the toilet during the day. So in summary, if you're used to wearing sanitary towels, then these pants are fabulous! If, like me, you've always used tampons, I would suggest that you may feel slightly odd and uncomfortable when your flow is heavy.”
