“I really wanted these to work as an environmentally friendly alternative to incontinence pads. I bought them for heavy exercise incontinence when running. I currently use a super sized Poise pad without any leakage. This underwear is said to hold 250mls, which is the same as the Poise pads. They are beautifully made and extremely comfortable, but totally impractical. 2km into an 8km run I had significant leakage and had to stop to ring the liner out. Bladder leakage any heavier than a drop or two runs straight off and doesn't absorb. The removable pad becomes incredibly heavy. They just aren't practical. I did a test at home to see what the issue was. Whilst they did hold nearly a cup of liquid, anything more than a drop or two at a time will run off the underwear, hence the leakage. I think also incontinence pads have little gutters along the edge which catch any runoff which this underwear doesn't, causing it to run straight off into your clothing. “The label is not at the back, so getting them round the right way makes dressing unduly difficult. I use 2 different sizes, depending on situation. The font size (on the label, when I eventually find it!) of the actual size of the brief is almost impossible to read, making sorting, storage and selection frustrating.”
