Adding a darkening, yet breathable, crate cover can help to keep sunlight out of your dog's crate. All of our crate cover patterns will block sunlight, but if this is a main concern for you we suggest one of our darker colors.

“The cover is made incredibly well. I love that it utilizes snaps as opposed to velcro. The only problem with the cover is I cannot find a wire crate that work with the dimensions of the cover. Why would you not sync your dimensions to the dimensions of the most commom manufacturers? I returned it and was forced to purchase an inferior cover that's perfectly fitted to the crate.”

We're sorry the sizing didn't work out — that's frustrating, and we understand why. A quick heads-up for future crate purchases: crate manufacturers have been quietly shrinking their dimensions over the past few years, so "30-inch" or "36-inch" doesn't mean the same thing across brands anymore. This happens so frequently that it is impossible for us to offer a pre-made crate cover in every possible crate size. Because of this, we'd recommend flipping the usual order — pick your Molly Mutt cover first, then choose a crate from our size chart that matches it, rather than buying a crate first and hoping a cover fits. If you've already purchased a crate that doesn't match our sizing, the easiest fix is usually to return the crate or exchange it for one of the compatible sizes listed on our site — most retailers (Amazon, Chewy, etc.) make this simple, especially if the crate is a recent purchase. If you're set on a crate we don't carry a pre-made cover for — DIGGS, for example, runs non-standard dimensions — we can still help! “Stinkin' cute, but the "top" is slightly too big for the 24" crate, so it's a bit wobbly. We fixed that by having a corner of the crate against a wall and it's now steady. Roll up sides work well.”
