The bed frame itself is a solid item, in that it holds the bed well and is easy to put together; HOWEVER, the major flaw is that it leaves these thin, hard wings sticking out at every corner that seem like they are custom made for smashing/splitting/cracking toes, and that’s exactly what I did. The first day we put it together I smashed my toes into so hard that I fractured them. We are going to try construct some kind of bumper or pad to go around the outside corners because it’s not going to be a one-off. My husband won’t have it on his side of the bed because he knows he will do the same thing. If the bed came with some eco-friendly option to wrap around one side or the corners, that would really make it better. If we could cut them off without compromising the structure, we would. Then, there still might be the occasional stub or two (that’s going to happen with any low, hard thing on the ground) but it wouldn’t be as injurious. If not for that, I would absolutely give it a 5 star rating.
