“I've highly valued the C6 unit, and it's been great to share that with friends eg at birthday parties or pub lunches, before people decide to drive.
Beyond that of course, it really helps you understand your own consumption - for example, what is your BA% the morning after? If you need some course correction, this is the tool.
The subscription app however requires a specific device that can't be used in the way described above - and seems to be a bit finicky and more prone to things like pocket lint (perhaps because of its larger size, not able to fit in the watch-pocket of jeans). It has no "spot check" functionality and no external display. I do understand the increased trust from monitors (eg, my ex) due to the video recordings, although this also means I'm often using it partially clothed after a shower, before bed or in the morning - it lives instead on my bedside table.
Be aware that things like tea-tree oil, eucalyptus oil, lavender (especially from an aerosol) can affect the reading and you won't see this until it's already posted - sticking it in the sun outside for five minutes or having a dip in the pool gets a more accurate reading, but you're stuck having to explain. ( I treat a scalp condition with essential oils which work great but be aware ).”
“The BACtrack View device and app work great! The text message reminders and ability to add monitoring partners make it super easy to use and stay compliant with whatever your needs are. I would highly recommend this product vs the others that are out there, the experience here is great!”
“If you are looking for a great trust building accountability device, this is for you. It works great, it's nice and compact for easy carry to keep with you at all times.
This product has helped me gain the trust of my loved ones again.”
“BACtrack has been great to keep life honest. It's nice to have the accountability regardless of who is in my life or where I am. I highly recommend BACtrack for those who want the ultimate accountability mechanism.”
“The alerts are not working for both the tester and person monitoring. Also missed tests count towards limit for basic plan. The basic plans has a lot of limits”
