“I have been using the BacTrack View for about a year and a half. It definitely has pros & cons.
Pros: easy to use, reasonably priced system, device is small in size.
Cons: Sensor can be too sensitive. I had it in my backpack with hand sanitizer wipes and it caused at positive test. (But I did not have it inside its provided pouch). Only allows 30 minute testing window, which is actually shorter considering you have to log in, have Bluetooth and Internet service, device & phone must be charged, takes a minute to send test through. Can be a stressful process. I've used other systems with an hour window and it saves your test in case you are out of range or without internet service. I've asked about longer test times but response was that they don't foresee moving changing that.”
“I was hesitant to use this app and device because I read the reviews about how sensitive it can be, but it's so easy to use and very accurate. I have zero complaints.”
“This Ap is instantly responsive and always accurate when compared with other end-user breathalyzers. Video function ensures that the tester is genuine. This product provides confidence for anyone monitoring their sobriety.”
“It's reliable, easy to use, and most importantly small and discrete, you can take a test in a public bathroom stall without anyone noticing. With other products I've had to turn down nights out with friends because they were impossible to use in public.”
“Can't remember the last time I have been stone cold sober for 6 months, but probably more than 20 years. I have purchased other devices through the years but always found a way around their constraint: the need for someone to watch the test. The ease of BACTrack remote monitoring and tracking by those that care has kept me to account no matter where they are, or what time they get alerts. While my use is self imposed (as opposed to legally required), and I still resent my personal need for such monitoring, I can say that my life is much better due to the transparency for all who want, including me.”
