“The SCRAM ankle monitor showed a false positive spike, resulting in an alleged violation of probation (VOP) for which I spent 12 brutal days in County Jail. Once out, and sentenced to the SCRAM ankle monitoragaig, I purchased the 90 fat BACtrack plan so I could self monitor my blood alcohol content if I needed to challenge the SCRAM accuracy in the future. I schedule random self tests 6 times/day and whenever I suspect I could falsely spike the SCRAM, like while getting gas, having a vaccine, getting permanent makeup, etc. The next time I am jailed due to a false SCRAM reading, I’ll have my BACtrack for evidence of compliance. It’s my little insurance policy.”
