“The product works most of the time if you are extremely careful about how you use it, but there are several glitches that are significant and in many cases cause critical failure of the intended function of the app.
The app is supposed to have a countdown timer for a test and provide a text notification, but often on opening the app, there is no countdown timer. So you take a test anyway since you know you should, but it isn't logged against the timed test. So you get a good test result logged, but the timed test ends up being missed and you get a missed test result logged.
The app has many times failed to log the test result after taking it. I think this has something to do with the app being not closed fully after the last test. So you take test after test, and it isn't logged. This has resulted in missed tests. A full phone restart fixes this.
Additionally, a test must be fully closed in order to log the time the test was taken. The time is when you hit the "close" button, not when the test is actually taken. After you take a test, you are forced to wait for an upload screen to hit 100%. You would think the test would be uploaded after this screen is finished, and you then see the results after hitting 100%. But the test is not actually logged after this, you still have to view the result, photo, and then hit close, which logs the test time. This has resulted in missed tests that were in reality taken much, much earlier.
There are other smaller problems as well. These were reported to the BACTrack View Team without resolution.”
“I receive results immediately after my family member uses the breathalyzer. The app is easy to use/understand and the breathalyzer itself is easy to set up. It malfunctioned once and we had to order a new one, however the new was shipped promptly without any issue.”
