“I was given the Language Starter Set to review for my blog. I could not be more thrilled with how the set has helped my son's knowledge of beginning sounds. He loves looking at the objects and he treats them with great respect because he feels so special using them!! They are all very unique and of the highest quality; he especially loves all of the realistic dollhouse trinkets and all of the little rubber animals. This starter set is all you need to create a Montessori Alphabet Box and begin learning sounds from putting out little baskets, trays, or plates. I let him sort out objects from two or three letters at a time and this has dramatically increased his confidence, and excitement, about phonetic sounds and reading! “I recently ordered these to help with sound games and phonemic awareness in my homeschool classroom. My daughter (almost 3) LOVES these items, and seems amazed that they are so tiny. Many of the pieces are high quality miniatures, and some wonderful little pieces were manufactured as doll-house replicas, so they are very sturdy. This has saved me so much time and space that I would have spent gathering and replacing household items each week for our sound object bowl rotation. Now I can relax a bit and supplement as needed with our every day things from around the house. Some of the objects are very tiny, indeed (as mentioned in the product description), so I do recommend keeping a constant eye on the younger ones using the material. My daughter is almost 3, but I will still supervise very closely just in case.”

“As a homeschool Montessori teacher, I will be using these objects to teach beginning and ending sounds, forming simple words, vowels, comparisons...the list goes on and on. The items are very small, taking up very little space which is necessary in a one-room "school-house". A necessary product in my opinion to anyone teaching beginning reading as young children understand concrete objects, and get the additional sensory information they need to learn.”
