“I LOVE this checkerboard mat. Anyone who has space issues, like most homeschooling families, will love how this mat rolls up so compactly. This item is normally a huge wooden board that takes up an enormous amount of space, this mat takes up very little shelf space yet works just as well. I think the fabric makes it so much easier to keep the bead bars from rolling around as they often do on the wooden boards. The workmanship is wonderful, I am sure it will last for many years. I was given this product free in exchange for my honest review.”

“I love how this quilted chequerboard rolls up to take up minimal space on the math shelf, and then when using it, the bead bars don't roll all over the place. In elementary that becomes not so much control of error in movement as just plain annoying. I highly recommend this item. It's well made and appealing to children.”

“Beautiful! The quality of this mat is great. The craftmanship will allow this mat to last a very long time. The mat really helps the student manage beads in a challenging work! The mat flies off the shelf!”

“I have worked with a variety of checkerboards, old models and new models, felt and wooded squares, but I like this board the best because it helps the bead bars to stay in their place even if the child sneezes or shifts in their seat. I have found that with all of the other boards on the market the children have to be almost perfectly still to ensure that the bars stay where they put them on the board. What a frustration to be near the solution to their equation and a small amount of breeze from a child walking by blows all of your bead bars into a mess. I highly recommend this checkerboard.”
