“We have used this shovel for a few years now and it is really the perfect size/proportion for our young kids. It has proven very durable and I even use it quite often (I'm 5'0") for some serious snow clearing here in Michigan. We ran over it with the car and although it cracked, it amazingly survived. I decided to get another one and am disappointed that it now has a plastic handle instead of wood (is otherwise identical). It seems quite sturdy/durable still (haven't tried it yet), but I preferred the look of the wood and not having extra plastic that I'll have to some day throw out.”

“my sister and i grew up sharing and occasionally fighting over an all metal child's snow shovel, the loser getting the adult shovel. the smaller shovel got far more done because it wasn't heavy, the smaller shovel was fun, the heavy shovel was work! this shovel is as close as i can find to the old one that lasted nearly 30 years. it's well made, weight is fine, perfect for a small child, its only drawback is that it is not all metal.”

“My daughter loves this shovel. Even with the iced over snow we have now, she's having fun skimming off bits and dumping them onto the already-shoveled path. ;) Small enough to use and handle for my girl who is 2-1/4 years.”
