This is a new improved edition with color photos. I give each new family a copy at the beginning of the school year when their interest is still engaged in learning as much as they can about their child's new school. It is an easy read w/o too much info.

Our family found this book useful on two fronts: Interesting reading if you are new to a Montessori School and materials. AND best of all, our child LOVES to tell us about which lesson has occured and/or what he plans on learning next. A nice way to bring the classroom experience home.
