i use this book in my montessori homeschool classroom. it's very cute and educational. some of the illustrations are tough for my children to understand because they are cut or torn paper illustrations rather than photos of real worms/casings/droppings/etc. understandable, because actual photos would never be as easy to visually understand, so this isn't really a criticism

I used Wiggling Worms at Work as a precursor to introducing the worm view. As we did each investigation with the worm view I read smaller sections again. I also did some reading and vocabulary reinforcement by dropping out key vocabulary words. We recycled those words into our own crafted sentences and made our own wiggling worms collage book. We gave the book and worm view as a birthday gift to the son of a very close friend and it has been a source of conversation and fun for all of us and our school mates. It's a great pairing!
