“I have purchased a number of these baseplates in varying colors to use for Lego tables for the grandkids (picture attached). If you use 4 of these 10" x 10" plates on an Ikea "Lack" side table, it makes a nice Lego work surface for young builders. There are less expensive, knock-off versions of the baseplates available but the reviews (warping, poor fit, etc.) scare me off. So the table itself costs $10 - $15 and then the plates are about $40 (for some reason, the price varies by color!).If you decide to build one of these, here's a tip... use lots of Legos to connect the plates to make a 20" x 20" plate. That way once the glue dries, you are assured the "pips" are perfectly aligned so you can build across from one plate to another.”
