“Blue is back!LEGO discontinued the blue baseplate just shy of 4 years ago and replaced it with tan. This left the LEGO world in a tough spot as brickers were unable to add to and/or begin their water scenes. That has all changed now starting in 2018.This baseplate is the high quality we have come to expect from LEGO and will without a doubt complement your LEGO city and/or scene. Please be aware, there are other knock-off brands that offer a blue baseplate, but they aren't the same quality and typically don't fit like the LEGO baseplates do. Though the cheaper price may be attractive, you run the risk of sacrificing quality and tight fit and/or coloring. This is the standard baseplate size... 10" x 10" (or 32 x 32 studs). If you decide to piece several of these baseplates together, you can use a standard blue lego plate 1 x 2 (the flat piece with two studs) or a 2 x 2 to connect the baseplates in their respective corners. This tends to help keep everything together and prevent the baseplates from moving around. See image. Now is the time to pick up some of these blue baseplates because you never know when LEGO might decide to discontinue them again. If this review helped to inform you, please click 'helpful' below.
