“I am a huge fan of the Lego Architectural series and have bought and built most of the sets. I have a specific problem with this set. Back in the day, Lego made an amazing Statue of Liberty set (3450) that must have been 3 feet tall. It had no base, but it was absolutely gorgeous. It was superior to this set in every way; for one thing, it had a face! My kids and I built it several times and kept it on display between building sessions. Then I foolishly sold it on eBay for thrice the original price of $300. My one hope is that Lego brings the original set back in 2026 for the 250 year anniversary of the US. This set pales in comparison.Level of Difficulty: Aimed at adults, these sets can easily be built by experienced children. Experience with Legos is more important than age.Value for Money: Outstanding.Building Experience: The architectural sets provide a satisfying build experience and a lovely display piece. Total win.PROS: Lovely guidebook. Satisfying build. Beautiful elegant display piece. The black boxes line up nicely on a shelf. Very elegant. Made for adults.CONS: The lovely guidebook will generally not lay flat. If it does lay flat, it is prone to falling apart.CAVEAT: Sometimes reviewers complain that they are missing pieces. While this does happen, it is extremely rare. In the case of the architectural sets in particular, it is tempting to just dump out all of the pieces into the box they came in and work from there. The problem with that approach is that the interior of the boxes are an elegant black and some of the pieces are also black, making them extremely difficult to spot. Every time I thought I was missing a piece, it was there, cleverly camouflaged.”
