This is an awesome product from Lego. Although it states it is for ages 10+ there is no way that a child of that age could put this very realistic Porsche together without help.

My 8yo was able to do it mostly by himself. There are quite a few tricky spots but the included guide is extremely well done. Anticipate the build will take a few hours.-The guide book is great. Large, colored illustrations walk you through the intricate build step-by-step. It is very easy to follow.-The engineering is crazy impressive. The way the gears, engine, axles, suspension, steering work all resemble a real car.-The final product is a very large size that will look great on display. The whole thing has so many cross attachments that it holds together very well and won't fall apart if you drop it.When my kid first built it, he mixed up the orientation of the rear drive box which made the back wheels not spin in the same direction. So I decided to rebuild it which required disassembling the entire vehicle because everything is connected so securely and in so many directions.

I purchased for my son and I to build together. This was fun, easy to assemble and really cool. It was a little pricey for a Lego set, but we were both really happy with the end result and the time spent together to build it.

I am relatively new to the Lego family (although my older son has been building sets for years and was a big influence on me to start building)...In my youth (68 yrs. old) I would spend hours upon hours of building, painting, etc. plastic models of all kinds of things...but cars models were my favorite..believing I was still good with my hands, I tackled this very detailed, Technic set...truth be told – (I had built the VW Bug - 1,167) prior to doing this build...What a blast! it definitely brought me back to my youth...the attention to detail is remarkable...steering works, pistons go up and down, etc. it was an approximately a 21 hour build (quarantined and doing it like a puzzle - passing it and doing a small sections at a time)...the build difficulty was on a 4-5 level...I have ordered the light package (through Brick Tool) and can't wait until it comes to put a finishing touch on this build...the down side was the bags were not numbered - but I had purchased a puzzle board, so I could spread the pieces from the bags in piles, etc. I also anticipated doing a lot more big builds...Needless to say, I hooked and already on the "slippery slope" of Legos...no surprise here...I have 3 additional "big" builds on the way...
