“My overall experience with assembly was good with no big problems encountered but some innovation helped with the wingtip lights which have notches cut for them but no provision to string wiring. So, I went on amazon and bought a 4 piece drone light($16.99) set of 14 mm diameter battery operated lights that stick on and can either flash or stay steady red or green. The kit comes with wingtip covers in case you decide to light the wingtips which with the above described drone lights worked well. I used an avian 8075-230kv motor which was a little too long but was acceptable and provides lots of power. I also used a Phoenix 160 amp ESC with a cooling fan and an 18 amp BEC. The 22x10 APC prop handles the plane well. Using 2 5000amp 6s batteries in the nose I still added 10 ounces of weight to the cowl. I was surprised how quickly the tail lifted on takeoff and little trimming was done. a 4-5 minute flight can be expected. Personally, I had little trouble with the provided landing gear and after lubricating them they worked well. My plane weighs 23 lbs with the above set up.”

“This bird flies magnificently with a stabilizer engaged or tuned down to zero....it tracks on rails and looks all business in flight....the Electric set up with the GP-160 180Kv motor on 12S is spectacular but be careful not to over prop...stay at least on an APC 24x12 prop.....XOAR 24x12 is right on the redline of overheating. I did upgrade to Robart Electric Retracts. Here is my 12th flight on video judge for yourselves......https://youtu.be/aOHy4-RE-pY”

“The model fuselage is CF plywood sandwhich....a very different look from the standard all plywood framing. The skin seems to be a thin fiberglass covered in the pre-printed vinyl wrap. The two supplied motor boxes did not work for me as the GP-160 is too long with large motor box and too short for the short motor box. I wound up cutting my own spacer lengths to get the motor matched to the cowling. BH does a nice job of provding foolproof drill guides for motor mount drilling. The supplied electric retracts and contol board worked out of the box and look to be sturdy for grass field operations. The other included supplied hardware is all there for completion and of good quality as well. The covering scheme may not be for everyone but looks excellent over-all. I set my model up for 12s (6s 8000mAh in series) and needed 1lb diver belt weight in the nose for CG. Not sure if all the CF in the fuselage would affect receiver radio - so I mounted my Spektrum satellites in the cockpit. No maiden yet at the time of this review. Will post the maiden up in HobbySquawk along with other build notes to this model.”
