“All parts protected well, no damage in shipping. Covering nicely applied and tight out of the box. Overall quality product. Only thing to quip about is the lack of main gear doors over wheel wells.”

“I really like the built up framework of the Black Horse models but the reason I rated the assembly difficult is because some personal ingenuity and interpretation is necessary for completion. This model is great for those that have long time building experience. I personally like a building challenge.”

“The airplane was shipped promptly by Motion RC upon ordering and was delivered intact.Internal packing was very good and nothing was damaged.All components necessary for completion was included and hardware was categorically packed.No issues during assembly other than sparse instructions.This ARF is not for beginners or foamy pilots. During the assembly, the main and tail gear operated normally.Upon installation, the main gears consistently bound during retraction.I loosened the mounting screws to preclude distorted retract frame and it seemed to resolve the issue.I carefully and methodically re-tightened the screws to secure the gear without it binding(half the time).And I proceeded to finish the model gears and all.At this juncture I contacted Motion RC and explained the problem and asked if other customers had this issue.And if so, was there a solution or a work around so I wouldn't have to remove and return the gears.They offered to authorize RMA and email return shipping label so they could evaluated the problem.But as I would have to remove the glued wheel well covering to remove the gears, I decided to maiden the airplaneand hope the forward air pressure once the plane was airborne would assist with retraction.Well, I was wrong and the main gears stopped retracting mid way and I promptly extended the gears.Thankfully it extended without binding.The airplane flew beautifully even with the gears down. I installed DLE 60cc twin with 22x10 prop and the combination produces very good thrust.I had to install one pound of weight in the engine compartment and another pound below the fuel tank for proper CG.Landing with half flaps gave reasonably slow approach speed and a nice touch down.Upon completion of maiden, I proceeded to disassemble the plane and noticed the gear screw of one main gear was dislocated.The motor was operational but it had no effect on the gear whatsoever.At this time I've had had enough and re-contacted Motion RC, ripped out the mains and control unit and returned it.It's been three weeks since the return and no response yet.Some reps at Motion RC can be quite rude and condescending but thankfully others are not.If you get one of the a**holes, try again until you get someone more knowledgeable and understanding.Good airplane bad main gear components.Landing with half flaps”
