“Wanted to use the Microbeast app called StudioX. Also wanted to upgrade to Pro version and this just involves a firmware addition. Sounds simple enough. However the App installs on my Windows 10 PC but will not run. Also installed it on my 2 Android phones, will not run on those. Wanted the stabilization function as I am not that good of a pilot yet and need the pro version to have that as well as future firmware updates. Some reviews elsewhere confirmed my experience and those reviewers had the same issue with getting the app to run on a windows 10 PC as well as android. I guess if you don't need the stabilization function or panic recovery and are OK with using the LEDs to program then it would be fine. If the app will not run on a newer computer not sure how you would do any firmware updates. Just my experience, got a Spektrum 6250 which has stabilization and panic recovery and can program it from my radio. FYI I did find a youtube video setting this thing up but he was running Windows 7.”

“Added a new Heli to my Squadron. Have used other FBL Controllers in the past. I have always reverted back to MicroBeast. I like the simplicities of being able to set up with out a computer. Don’t need one at the flying field for minor trim adjustments.”

“Seems pretty pricey and when it arrived it wasn't in the manuafacture's box, it came in a clear stapled bag like it was used and missing setup reference card for the field. Still learning about it like the other FBL Gyro systems. It is nice you don't need a pc to make changes out in the field, just press the button and cycle through the setup modes. Quick start manual was clear as mud, I would recommend reading the wiki manual to get a better understanding of the setup features.”
