“I bought this fan unit for my Velocity-RC Mirage jet. The origonal 70mm fan that came with it was a 3 blade fan, very fast and pretty loud. The appeal of a quiet 12 blade fan was strong, so I made the switch. I installed the fan unit same as the origonal but on the test flight the jet was so slow that it was almost unflyable. I have made some changes but still very sluggish. I am going to try some more changes, but I have a feeling this fan just will not cut it for this jet. I should point out I am using the same batteries and ESC as origonal set up, yet getting less than half the speed now. I am disapointed , as I love the new sound and I am not looking for greater speed and would be happy with just a safe speed. My all up flying weight is 3 LB 10 oz and I start at 800 watts, I don't know why the performance is so poor? I will try to dig deeper into this as I cannot say for sure exactly where the problem lies.”

“I installed this in the Roc Hobby 70mm Super Scorpion after the stock setup burned up. I had to solder new plugs on my ESC but other than that it went in smoothly. It seems to have slightly better performance and sound than the stock fan. Overall worked out well and is a nice unit.”
