“I installed this SKU: E7216FW 70mm 12-B EDF 6S Power System w/ 3048-2150KV and its CCW E7216R EDF in a scratch-built SR-71, scale build of 1 : 17.5 with a fuselage length of 6' 2.5 long. Weight is 8.6lbs empty. Static tests show 1572W ad 1587W for the motors pulling just under 65A each using a fully charged 6S LiPo. The ESCs are 80A. Measured thrust is about 5.5lbs combined using a fish scale. It has flown twice but the power is marginal at this weight. I am considering buying the 2957-2210Kv EDFs but their reviews are only showing a similar power at 1580W. I can't see upgrading EDFs for almost twice the money ($73 vs $44) without a large increase in power. If anyone has better static test results on 70mm EDF inrunners, please contact me at hifinnsword@yahoo.com. I'd appreciate some solid tests results.”

“I bought a pair of these EDF (one standard rotation and counter rotating unit) for a custom built Tupolev TU-154 airliner, which is going to be in same size/weight class as the Freewing AL37 Airliner.After a first bench test I was very impressed by the quality of these units. First they come perfectly balanced which is already a big plus compared to some other brands.Second they sound great ! They produce this nice woosh sound very close to the one of a real turbine engine.Then, and probably most important, they deliver a massive amount of power. Definitely recommended!”
