“This product is very weak. I have replaced these units 3 times now. Unlike other retract units these have the mounting flange an integral part of the main retract unit body. This may work ok if the landings are perfect on a hard surface runway. When landing on a grass runway however any bump you encounter or not a perfect touchdown produces a bending load on the main retract body which causes failure of the hard plastic flange. This is unacceptable and a product re-design is required.”

“Easy to install but is a poor design, the weak link being the built in attach flange with the retract unit body. These will be the second replacement units I have needed since the OEM failed after only 2 landings. One of the replacement units I purchased failed after only 3 landings. These units appear to be designed for perfect landings on hard surface runways, not grass runways which most of the flying club runways in the USA have today.”
