“I design using CADRA and build most of my EDF models from parts on hand. I have learned that Motion/Freewing has parts that work for me. I search through the parts and accessories of many different models to find what I need for a particular project. These retracts will go into a 80mm, 6s model of the X-43 ( longer wings ~ 40ws, 57 long)”

“The retract part of this works good, the problem I have with it is, that the plate that you use to bolt it down, on most of my other planes, it is separate from the retract housing, on this one it is all one piece molded together, and the problem that I’ve had with my P-51 Old Crow, is that on any kind of hard landing, on pavement, it will crack between where the screws go in and the retract housing, I was able to remedy this problem by machining a thin aluminum plate that bolts down over the top of the plastic housing.”

“I bought a “nos” freewing Texan at6 locally. Brand new in the box. After assembly, On 4th gear cycle the left main failed to work anymore. Did troubleshooting only to find micro switch bad. As for replacement quality only time will tell. New gear went in painlessly. I love freewing but it ****** having to replace a “new” assembly. Will see how new one holds up.”
