“As others point out, if you’re buying for the catapult build you’ll be sorely disappointed. They aren’t strong enough for the tension of the elastic string that “loads” the energy. Breaks/comes apart constantly. May be fine for free play or other builds, but not as a catapult.”

“So we had a good time building the drag racer. Instructions were mostly clear (pictures are not clear enough in some places to determine the correct orientation of a piece, but overall very good). Pieces snapped together easily and generally seemed to be of good quality.However, the end product simply doesn't work. You can only wind up the band a few turns before the tension is too much and snaps the car in half, which means the car can only actually move about 2 inches. It can't go any further even if you got some momentum because the rubber band will stop it from rotating past the start point. Best off just leaving the rubber band off so you can at least push the car down the hall a bit, but that kind of defeats the purpose.My son was so disappointed after spending so much time building that he doesn't want anything to do with it anymore. It essentially accomplished the exact opposite of it's purpose. Rather than spark an interest, it taught him to hate it. It is clear that not a single person actually tested the design, it's completely non-functional.”
