“Had a lot of fun working on this, it was my first soldering projects and the instructions/explanations were straightforward and very helpful. I recommend getting a multimeter before working on any electronics though as I have learned since.”
“I purchased this kit to practice my soldering skills. The instructions are great and have lots of pictures. The components are bent around a piece of cardboard. You will take component C1 from the cardboard, stick it into hole C1 on the board, and use your fancy new soldering iron to solder the leads. Repeat this about 30 times. It is very satisfying to see the red led light up after your first few components are on. My radio worked correctly on the try. There are debugging instructions if you have an issue. You will need an inexpensive volt meter. You will need a 9v battery's and a soldering iron. The kit comes with lead free solder. Great for the environment, but it has a higher melting point. I had both types of solder on hand. The classic stuff is a little easier to work, but the solder in the kit works fine. You might want to have some soldering wick or a solder sucker in case of a mistake.”
