“The product is fine and the radio works okay. But this is not for most 6-8 year old. Unless a parent will do it as a co project, I would hesitate to buy this for many children under 9.”
“This kit is designed to teach youth around the ages of 10-14 the basics of electrical engineering. It also helps youth practice their soldering skills.I'm back to add to this review. The youth in our program just finished building their radios and most of them worked just fine. The were so excited. These are youth between 11 and 14 years. What a joy to observe the feeling of accomplishment in them as they turned on their radios and heard the stations!!! This is an amazing kit. I wish I ordered several more at the price I found it.”
“We bought this for our grandson who has expressed and interest in electronics. He has not completed yet but is working on other soldering projects sent him.”
“The kit comes in a ziploc bag. So it's fine if you just want to build a radio, but if you are planning to give it to someone as a gift, it looks pretty dumb.”
“well when i ordered this as a christmas gift for my son, i assumed it would come in a box. It did not. I comes in bascially a zip lock bag. You just gotta either take it all out and make sure each piece you need is here, or you gotta pray the kit is all there.”
“It took me a little bit of time to figure out the directions but now my 9 year old daughter and I are on a roll. We are not finished yet but are having fun.”
