“This is one of the most educational toys out there and for a relatively very low cost for what it teaches. We all live in a technological world and we all have to increasingly interact and depend on that technology. This deceptively simple toy teaches you in relatively simple way to understand that technology, from a child to an adult. In the past one had to spend a lot of time setting up electronic components in a breadboard to simulate different circuits even at the earliest stage, now with this you spend less time setting up and more understanding it. You can later play with breadboards, arduinos, etc. Every household with children or a curious adult should have this!!! Start with the 100 project. Then if like it get then full 750 project set. I have both for years and still come back to it.”
“This little electronic toy is excellent for children to use their imagination to connect different ways of electricity without getting shocked it's enjoyable would recommend”
“Our kids loved playing with this, and now that they're older, it often comes out when younger kids are at our house visiting. Really good for learning how circuits work etc.”
“This is so much better than I was expecting. It just came today (2 day delivery). Since opening it, and doing a few of the circuit projects in the instruction guide, she went rouge and is now making up her own. Some work, some don’t, and after the first few upsets, she’s fine and just tries a different way.One thing I’m on the fence about is the plug in attachment; it’s so expensive, and the kit goes through batteries pretty fast. But that it the only negative I have. Great product, I am hoping to see more circuit attachments in the product line soon. WE LOVE IT! (Yes, I’m having fun playing too).”
“Snap circuits is the closest thing you can get to a component-level electronics education toy without spending a small fortune, so even though I think they're a little too close to Legos, I have bought several of these kits over the years for various nieces and nephews.Recently I got another for my niece who's turning 9, but the kit I received was not the kit pictured. The box was only about 2/3s the size, and sure enough, it did not contain the same number of pieces. There were several fewer connectors, and the resistor component was entirely absent. It didn't look like anything was missing. Rather, more like they redesigned the kit, but never updated the picture or description. Nonetheless, I wanted the item pictured, not an updated imitation, so I am returning this kit, and hoping I can find one of the originals somewhere else.”
