Snap Circuits Jr. 100 Experiments Reviews

4.8 Rating 330 Reviews
This product is amazing! If you have a child who loves legos, robotics, engineering, ect. This is a winner! I was running out of things to encourage his engineering and electronics curiosity that didn't cost a couple hundred dollars. This is great and can't wait to get the other sets.

My students are really enjoying the snap circuits. I only took off a star because one of the 11 boxes is different from the other ten. This is a real bummer for the group that gets assigned this box because the manual and some pieces are different making it difficult for them to construct the same things as other groups. Also, there are a couple of pages missing in ALL of the snap circuit manuals. Project 64-68 are missing. I only realized this because I was asking students to call out a number between one and 100 and the first number I heard was 64. So I told them to build project 64. The next thing I heard was, There is no project 64. I got to hear it 24 times. ;)

I got this for an 8 year old that LOVES Legos, so I wanted to up his ability to build and create. He took to this like a fish to water. The instructions are very clear verbally and visually. Each project presents the objective of the project at the beginning. If a person begins with project #1, and proceeds numerically through the 100 possible projects, they will build upon one another and increase in complexity. The kit did not have every item needed to do all projects as ours was missing a paper clip. This gave me the opportunity to explain hoe plastic coating is used to insulate wire when used to carry power and we stripped some coated wire we had in the house. It was something very mundane, like a bread tie or something. In any case, my 8-year old loves this gift and I enjoyed sharing his intro to understanding power and closed circuitry with him. I highly recommend this product.

Kids love playing with and can't seem to get enough of. After an afternoon of use started exploring their own ideas and what happens if. A week later it was time for expansion packs. Very big hit.
