I bought this to teach my 9 year old about electrical circuits. She is super excited and doing each build and checking them off in the manual. Once we do all the builds we will go back and do them again with a digital multimeter and let her learn to take voltage measurements and find problems, maybe even use a labscope instead of a dmm. Ive caught her doing these by herself she thinks its so fun. My only two complaints is the instructions dont really show which circuits are the base layer/second layer/third layer etc. You kind of just have to study the picture and figure out what to lay first. The second complaint is the snaps are very small although strong... the base grid seems weak and im afraid it will break the nubs off eventually. I would like to see the snaps kind of magnetic based instead of snapped together to make it easier and to last longer. Otherwise awesome product

My 6 year old son loves this. He plays with this the most out of his toys he got for his birthday. At first I had to sit with him and show him how the circuit is laid out in the instructions book. Once he understood the coordinates of the grid, he was off and putting circuits together. His fav so far is the helicopter. This is a fun toy for him to understand current. He figured out that if the motor is flipped on the circuit, the helicopter isn’t going to fly up. He then asked if he could add another battery pack and what would that do. The basics of this toy is to allow for creativity and thinking outside the box. After about an hour he figured how to add the other battery pack. Now the helicopter flies even higher. We’ve gone through about 7 of the 300 experiments in the manual, though he has been modifying those 7 pretty heavily. At first as a parent I was hesitant in purchasing as I thought this would be to challenging for a new 6 year old. I under estimated him and his curiosity and I’m glad I got this for him. As a bonus, his pre-teen sister is enjoying this as well. Parent like as it is really a STEM toy. Don’t hesitate in getting this for your child.

This electronic gift was left on the ground by our mailbox and barely out of the street. It was raining and both the outer and inner boxes are very damp. I'm drying the gift now to see if it still works. This poor delivery has never happened to us before. But this once was a little unnerving.

Hopefully this will get them interested in science. Fun projects, got them excited, laughing and asking tons of questions. Good present.

Got this for my son to give him something hands on to do that he could learn from. There's 305 total projects so plenty to do to last for awhile without repeating. The fan is really fun. The pieces are of good, solid quality and are intuitive to attach. Seem pretty durable as well. I'm using my digital multimeter to supplement and show the actual voltage numbers and resistance numbers.

My two kids 9 and 11 were extremely engaged in it. Its very robust and nothing broke, which is important when dealing with young kids. It has over 300 different setups. However, they did get bored after a few days even without doing all the setups. Cant blame the product. Perhaps a more older child could appreciate it better and make new circuits. The concepts of capacitors/transistors etc is also lost with kids of around 10, although assembling it is easy. Therefore would recommend it for 12 and up, unless the kids are really into electronics.
