My son was so excited when he got it for his birthday present and when he came home from school, he would always go right upstairs to play with it. He liked how he could build different things and he's so glad that he got it!

I got this for my 7 years old niece, soon to be 8 years. It is just perfect. She loves it. Every day I get videos of the project she made, which is so amazing. The best project was the Flying Saucer. So simple and so much fun. This is a high quality product, and educational. I am sure when she learns about circuits in school, it will be really easy for her to pick up the concepts. I highly recommend it for 8 years old an above.

I bought the first Snap Circuit kit for my daughter 2 years ago for Christmas. Out of the dozens of gifts she received, she spent DAYS inventing things with that first kit. She had just turned 7 at the time.Alas, as all kids do, she eventually lost interest, and in doing so, lost a lot of the parts...So last Christmas I ordered this kit as well as another, bigger upgrade kit to the original Snap Circuit kit. She was absolutely ecstatic. She didn't even look in the books for project ideas, she just started putting things together. She did look in the books to find out what certain parts were, but suddenly she's bringing me an A.M. radio with a volume control and power switch that turns on a motor for some type of plastic flying thing. Then she put together a remote control rover... definitely a great way to teach kids how electronics function
