Was a gift and was a hit

We got this toy for our 5 year old little boy for Christmas. It was not a toy that was on his wishlist, he didn't even know it existed. He's been asking how electricity works and he's really into anything, math, science, stem, so we thought it would be a good choice for him. This thing is awesome and it's definitely his favorite gift of the year. He plays with it all the time and is constantly taking my phone so he can set up his dance party. We had to help him set it up at first since it's pretty complicated but he got the hang of it pretty quickly and now he's happily setting up different projects by himself! If you're willing to help and learn about electricity yourself, I would definitely recommend this for a STEM advanced 5 year old. I would say kids a little older, maybe 7+ could easily get the hang of it on their own and would love it!

I have purchased these types of kits before for my kids. I was excited to give this kit to my youngest son for Christmas. Three plastic parts have already broken. The green switch snapped off in my sons hand. I am really disappointed in the quality of the pieces and parts.

I would give the Snap Circuits Lights more than 5 stars if I could - it is hands down one of the best toys I've seen in a long time! We bought it for my 5 year-old, but all of the other kids and adults enjoy this product. We've done the first 10 or so projects (out of over 175) together, and now my 5-year-old has started doing them on his own. It's so wonderful to see a toy that is both entertaining and educational - I really cannot say enough good about the product!

My 9 yo son just got this for Christmas as a surprise because he loves to learn and figure things out. He has been very playing with it for hours today. He is excited to see each new circuit as he puts them together. He has even chosen to build these over video games and computers. Major parenting win. The price tag is a bit high but it’s well made and at least he is learning valuable STEM skills that will hopefully help his future.
