“The soldering iron did not work properly and we wound up buying a new one from the hardware store. The others components were not of good quality either. Save your money.”
“The kit is good for learning how to solder.... Just not with the iron included. It is a piece of junk. Also, the solder included, which is lead free, isn't very good either. I built the kit using another soldering iron and 60/40 lead solder. I really liked the thought of having a decent adjustable iron and stand, but am unhappy with this one.”

“Just what I wanted - something that walks you through basic soldering. Soldering iron is ok I have feeling that if I to continue with soldering I would outgrow it pretty fast and would look for something better. But works fine for occasional projects. Replacement soldering tip is hard to find, but possible. I did not have need to change it yet so maybe it is non issue. Comes with 5 pages booklet, with basic instructions, so don't expect detailed manual with best practices and all. Overall worth $$ I think.”
