“First let me say that I have purchased around 10 Admiral batteries from Motion RC. This is the first battery I have had a problem with.The battery ignited its-self upon installation into the plane, the first time I used it. It caught fire before a load was connected. Apparently from the balance lines (thats where the smoke started).The fire consumed 2 4s 4000 batteries (in series), a brand new never used Castle ESC (from Motion), burnt all power and servo cables, and damaged the receiver beyond testing.The site I fly at has several different types of fire extinguishers, I used the dry-chem type. I was able to suppress any flames. The airframe was save! But a giant hole was burn't below the batteries.I am still waiting for Motionrc to make a 12ision on my claim. “This is not just a good battery, Admiral batteries are the best batteries I've used so far. I have bought and used many different brands of batteries for my 40+ airplanes and I have to say these Admirals are the best of the best. I have had good ones and I have had not so good ones but the Admiral brand battery sold by Moton RC are without a doubt the most reliable and dependable battery on the market so far. They have very low resistance, excellently balanced cells and I've not had any of them swell up.New batteries I initially charge at 1c then all other charges are at 2c.I never let the lowest cell get below 3.6v when flying (telemetry reporting)...Resistance is between 2 to 6 Ohms to start with no more than 2 Ohms difference between the cells.Balance is usually consistent around .002Batteries have never gotten warm/hotBatteries have never swollen upI recommend these batteries.”
