“Least expensive carbon battery I could find, have not run it long enough to evaluate it however in the past Admiral battery's have given excellent service and long life”

“I have now completed 10 cycles/usage with this Lipo. Three flights were with my Flightline MK1X Spitfire and two flights were with my Sebart Pyphon to bed the lipo in. A further 5 flights have been with my Freewing 90mm Stinger. The following comments are in a like for like test between my Admiral 5000mah 50C lipo and the Admiral 5000mah Carbon 70C. On all flights the lipos were allowed 6hours rest before going through a storage charge (if required) and a minimum of 24hours before a full charge. All charging was completed at 1C.During the five flights I had with my prop planes I didn't notice any significant power improvements however at the end of the 12 minute flight the Carbon battery delivered equal power throughout with 45% of the capacity remaining where as the 50C Lipo had 25% remaining and towards the end of the flight I was starting to add more throttle to maintain the flying speed. During the 5 flights with my 90mm Stinger of a duration of 4minutes 30 seconds the Carbon battery delivered equal power throughout the flight with 40% of the capacity remaining, where as the 50C Lipo had 20% remaining and towards the end of the flight I was starting to add more throttle to maintain the flying speed. The 50C Lipo was warm but the Carbon Lipo had no heat at all. Negatives (in my opinion) Size and weight: This wasn't an issue in my prop models because it was possible to move the Carbon battery rearward to obtain the correct CG. The extra 100g weight didn't effect the wing loading/flight characteristics, however this was an issue with the Stinger. The Stinger was nose heavy with the Carbon lipo as far back as possible and I had to cut a significant part of the canopy away for it to securely close. The Velcro strap was too short and wouldn't go around the Carbon Lipo although this is only a case of installing a larger strap. The battery bay was also only just wide enough to accommodate the width of the carbon lipo.To conclude - If your thing is flat out speed with your EDF's or you want to add 20% to your flight time I highly recommend a Carbon Lipo. The available power remains the same throughout the entire flight with no overload effect on the lipo (no heating up or puffing). You must measure the battery compartments of the planes you want to use the Carbon Lipo with before buying. Is there room to move the lipo back to attain the correct CG position? is the compartment wide enough? is there enough height throughout the bay for the canopy to fit? after all you don't want to be hacking the canopy away to make it fit especially on the Freewing Scale EDF's. Great product all round, it would be nice if there was a 6S 4200mah version to allow the dimensions to be reduced making it a more universal fit.”

“The Lipo came well packed and the product looked to be well manufactured. The soldering points are not visible but they feel substantial and solid through the pvc outer. The Cells were balanced with 4 cells @ 3.85V and two @ 3.87V.I charged the lipo at 1C on a balanced charge, at the end of the charge the cell count was between 4.12 to 4.13. I like to treat my new lipos in a none stressful plane for the first 5 cycles. The chosen aircraft so far is my Flightline MK9 Spitfire. I had one flight with an Admiral 5000mah 50C lipo and 10 minutes later with the 5100mah Carbon Lipo. I cant say in this side be side test I felt a difference in power and performance but I fly the Spitfire at 1/3 power anyway. Although the carbon Lipo is larger in dimensions it easily fit into the battery bay. The extra 100g weight also didn't effect the CG, I have to have all lipos as far forward as possible in the Spitfire to attain the correct CG so if anything the extra 100g probably improved the CG/flight characteristics of the Spitfire. The real test will be in my higher performance power hungry EDF's although I am sure the Carbon Lipo will handle the power draw Admirably.”

“Use this lipo on my Xclass spec 8S capable quad. Very satisfied with its performance. Full throttle punchouts, hooning around, and always the powerdelivery is there. Is my first Admiral lipo, won't be my last”

“This is one of the best 6S packs I have used. I have several of these packs and all work great. I currently use them in the avanti S and the A 10With flight times between 4.5 and 7 minutes depending on how much I stay in the throttle. Battery is barely warm after completing a flight .The power is great till end of flight with 25% of battery left. This is an ideal battery for ducted fans due to it's power retention throuout the flight and low battery temps. All cells charge well at 3C and I have not had any trouble with the cells not charging to 4.20 on a balance charge.I did charge the batteries at 1C for the first few charges to kinda break in the pack.I would highly recommend this battery over the standard 6S due to it's performance. The cost is well worth the 10 dollars more in my opinion. Thank you Motion rc for a great battery and great support on all your products!!!!!!!!!!”
