“Had to have another after wearing out my first with over 100 flights with a few other than perfect landings and one or two crashes (my fault) showing off the airplane’s maneuverability. It’s a great 70mm class edf that’s very maneuverable either at low or high speeds. Jet can be very docile with a Spektrum AR637T SAFE equipped receiver using self leveling or can be an aerobatic rocket ship with AS3X only engaged. Very comparable to the Eflite 70mm Thunderbirds model in most categories but the arctic camo paint scheme is my main reason for choosing the Freewing personally. Also the Freewing PNP version out performs the Eflite jet with faster top speed and quicker rotation on takeoff. All things considered it’s a great jet that looks and flies wonderfully.”

“Bought this edf jet to replace my aging Eflite 70mm F-16 Thunderbirds jet and have been loving this one. Have the Eflite 70mm motor out of the Thunderbirds jet,100 amp Eflite esc, and Spektrum AR637T receiver installed and this jet screams! Hit 128.8mph in a dive according to my GPS telemetry module. This jet has more power and faster climb out on takeoff. Also like the fact this one has no cheater holes underneath the vertical stab messing up the beautiful scale looks of the model. Also I like the wooden ventral fins over the foam Eflite jet. The battery bay and landing gear on the Eflite model seem stronger than on the Freewing model, but neither have been an issue so far. I have had to bend the mains in a couple times after harder than planned touch downs but haven’t had any problems with cycling them and nothing has broken. The Freewing jet flies better in my opinion and is faster flying on the same motor. Would definitely recommend the ARF to anyone who has a 70mm edf unit and compatible esc and receiver lying around. I have installed an FMS edf unit in my Thunderbirds jet and will be doing side by side flight comparisons with my son on the sticks of one of the models for a better idea of how the two stack up against each other but for the price and performance the ARF Freewing is my winner, not to mention the arctic camo paint scheme is the best looking F-16 of any brand or size class. The two different squadron decal options was an unexpected but nice surprise as well. I’d recommend the Freewing 70mm F-16 to anyone looking for an awesome flying falcon.”

“Assemble went well. Parts all fit well. Paint is excellent. Performed the maiden and it went well. No issues. I will say that it's easy to loose in the sky. I was surprised with the contrasting colors. I lost orientation a few times. I'm curious what others experienced. I purchased the ARF Plus, because I had a the ESC and Fan to completed the assemble. Overall, it's a bargain.”
