“Mixed I would say. After assembly, which was very easy, and admiring the scale nature of the jet, I was troubled to find one of the aileron servos was not working (hence 4 Star Rating). In my 15 years of RC, I have come to learn (and accept) that you get what you pay for. This is not a rant, it is simply a reality, and if you are an RC enthusiast, the sooner you learn this the better. But I wanted to roll the dice with this one 'cause I just didn't have it in me to spend the extra time and money on quality control, which to me is buying the servos and power system myself and installing them myself - something I used to do to keep the quality control under control. But I must admit, too tired to do that anymore. So while I am not surprised by the quality control issue, I hate to see in these post-banana hobby days that the dice continued to be thrown when buying an EDF foam jet. Anyway, I had a pair of HiTec servos laying around, so I managed to find myself building a jet that was supposed to already be built and tested. Okay, enough of that. Post 5 or 6 flights, I am very impressed with the jet. Very easy to fly, looks and sounds amazing (sounds better than my Avanti S for some reason), but I must say, landings are a challenge. Granted, all my other EDF jets have flaps, so removing this level of control has been some-what a challenge for me. With a 6S 4000, this jet comes in hot and unlike the Avanti S, the classic F-16 tricycle gear are not forgiving. Forget about buying the sidewinder missiles, you're going to rip off every one of the underside missile wings and tail fins as the F-16 teeter-totters its wings down the runway as if the pilot had one too many. Even when you do set the gear down with a perfect kiss, any subsequent turn of the front wheel will drop your wing. Now, lets be honest here, this is an issue with F-16s in general, not really a gripe against this particular model. If you are used to landing your EDF jets in the grass, and like myself, are now trying a paved run way, congrats, class in now in session! But again, this is typical for F-16's in general. One must at this point also give a shout-out to the retracts. On pavement, and with several hard landings, they have held up well. Sure I have had to bend them back a few times, but for the most part, it is clear some thought went into how to keep the gear from getting ripped out of the fuse. Granted, this is in reference to a pavement landing, not grass. A grass field may not be as forgiving. All in all, I do not regret my purchase. I will continue to buy jets from Motion RC as I understand, there will always be a dice roll with quality control. By the way, I actually recommend buying the separate (optional) weapon set. The Sidewinders will loose their underside fins, but they protect the wing from damage when the F-16 goes dancing down the runway.”

“I want to say first thing, it is more stunning, the Arctic camo, then I had hoped for. And caution against flying it as daylight fades, or as heavy clouds move in. The camoflauge can really work, lol! The built was simple and straight forward, except for the 2 additional sets of missiles, please, attempt their placement LAST, after everything, I mean everything you need to do is done. I flew my maiden flight minus them, because replacing just 1, meaning all 4 at a cost of over 15% of the entire plane. Last, the outside missle sets have 2 pegs for each, do NOT assume the marks in the plane are drilled in or centered correct, 99 percent of the time, they are not. I bought 2 sets of missiles screwing that up.But this plane rocks & rolls, it's fun, fast and easy to fly. Quick to lift off, and has some glide with the big wing span. Have fun, enjoy.”
