“Great plane!Shipment from the Motion Europe warehouse was very fast.The assembly of the plane took something like 20 minutes, and everything fitted nicely.Only problem was a faulty elevator servo, but one phone call and the problem was solved by Motion RC, and within 24 hrs they send me not one but two new servos.Flew the plane a few times now and it is a great flying plane without any bad habits.Well done Freewing and well done Motion RC Europe!”

“I fancied an EDF that was quick, simple and fun to fly.The FW F-16 has not disappointed in any respect.The F-16 is very easy to build, looks absolutely amazing and sounds fantastic.It will take off from grass very easily and the gear are very high quality and strong.It has a very nice roll rate and will high alpha incredibly easily. Punch the stick from low speed and it picks up speed really well.I fly her on a 6S 3300 pack, but it will fly easily with a 4K (i have not tried larger). Personally i prefer the smaller pack.Fantastic, fast and fun EDG, i love it and would recommend it.”

“While this plane is a lot of fun to fly, I had a very frustrating time getting all its problems sorted out. This is my third freewing jet, and I'm still kind of disappointed in their quality control.First thing I noticed while unboxing the plane was that the pre-applied stickers had wrinkels and were slightly peeling off. I used some CA to glue the stickers back down, but there was not a lot I could do about the wrinkles, but that's only a minor issue. This F-16 comes with a decal sheet with two livery options. The decals that are used on both liveries are pre-applied, however two decals from one of the optional liveries were as well, which eliminates the meaning of optional.Next, I noticed that the black paint doesn't stick to the foam very well, it peels off a lot more than I'm used to. Mostly on the edges of the battery compartment/hatch and where the nose cone connects to the fuselage. Also there is a random, very visible paint blob on the inside of the exhaust and the black color on the exhaust nozzle is misaligned.I removed the EDF and ESC to check whether the spinner sits tight enough and to solder my 5.5mm bullet connectors on. When I put the screws holding the EDF in place back in, I noticed, that the mounting brackets had cracks and disintegrated. I sent an email with a picture to motionrc and explained my problem. The next day I got a reply saying that a plastic parts set was on the way to me, free of charge. Motionrc really does have the best customer service in the industry, I'm really happy with this company. The maiden flight was okay, the jet felt heavy and slow with the recommended cg. So I calibrated the ESC and moved the battery forward a little bit. The second flight the F-16 felt completely different. Agile, tracking precisely, fast and with a lot of thrust. The sound is absolutely fantastic and very jet-like.When it was time to land, the nose retract wouldn't extend, so I had to land on grass with the gear up. One of the missile rails came off and the ventral fins damaged the cheater hole vent cover and the EDF hatch. Sadly, the latter is not available as a spare part. I replaced the nose retract but a few flights later the nose gear wouldn't extend again. This time the pitot tube broke, the nose cone was warped and one of the missiles broke in two pieces. Three retracts later I finally found the cause of the problem, a combination of quality issues.I'm using a mix to steer the nose gear with the rudder. This mix becomes inactive when I retract the gear, and becomes active again when I extend it, so the steering servo moves to the center position and doesn't move while steering the rudder during normal flight. The pin that connects the nose gear with the rotating metal block in the nose retract was crooked and the steering servo didn't center correctly. This means, that when the steering servo is slightly off-center the landing gear would press against the retract housing and therefore prevent the metal block in the retract to rotate enough for the moving metal part inside to reach the travel limit switch. This prevents the motor in the retract from turning off and causes it to produce excessive heat. And since the travel limit switch is not pushed, the turning direction of this motor doesn't change, which is way the gear wouldn't extend. In order to prevent this problem on your plane, just make sure, that the nose gear doesn't press on the plastic housing of the retract in any way while retracted.Other than this frustrating experience the F-16 is a blast.”

“I was originally sent the standard version in a mislabeled box. Motion Rc customer service was up to their usual high standards and immediately sent a return label followed by the correct version of the plane. Turn around time, less than a week. The plane is fantastic. Maiden in 14 mph winds was no problem and uneventful. The looks, flights, and overall quality of the plane really has to be seen to be believed.If you are on thr fence, get off of it and make the purchase. I don't see how you could regret it.”

“I just got the Freewing F16. Looks awesome and will put together in a few months. Working on other projects but wanted to purchase this plane while in stock. Hope everything works ok when I do get to put together. Motion only has a 30 day warranty. We shall see”
