“INITIAL THOUGHTS and PERKS - Initially this plane is very attractive to look at. This plane flies well and is quite quick as well as the engine makes an incredibly realistic turbine sound and for some reason in this specific plane it is more prevalent in this plane. I do recommend putting some afterburner lights on mine and in general this plane was and is fun to fly. Though my time with this plane was short for the rc world this thing is a true beauty. It flies relatively stable and is fast at top speeds. Reaching anywhere from 95-115 mph. The magnets for the nose cone and very very strong unlike those in the sister F-104 starfighter. I do recommend getting an extra graphics set and DEFINITELY get the additional missiles. The graphics aren't very good but the missiles bring the look of a true F-16 right into your hands. An additional fact I would make sure that everyone know is that on the rolls out of dives this plane likes to sink a little so give yourself around 40 ft. of extra altitude before going into a dive or flattening out.FLIGHT AREA AND LANDING/TAKEOFF - You would want a relatively large flying space for this plane. Though you could fly it in a park I would recommend a larger field with some shorter trees. The takeoff roll with this plane can be anywhere from 50-150 ft. (depending on throttle control). I will say landing is really a pain in this thing. I tried setting up flaperons but it simply did not work and because of that slowing this plane down is incredibly hard. With any EDF jet having no flaps can really be a deadly kiss in some cases. To slow this plane down you really need to flare all the way down on decent. That's why I stated shorter trees because with no flaps you really don't want to gain much speed on landing. For the time I had this plane it was not rare that I go around on most of the landing approaches.BATTERY AND FLIGHT TIME - I use a HRB 4000mAh battery in this plane and it is pushed relatively far back. Also since I love flying fast I usually fly full open so expect flight times from 2:50 to 4:00. 2:50 for full open and 4:00 for conserving throttle .DOWNFALLS - I will be honest there are quite a few downfalls to this aircraft. One is the decals. They have the same quality as my f-104 decals and are quite crappy. They are not water applied and their stick is actually very weak. They started to peal after the first flight. I may have gotten a bad batch but from my experience that's what I have. The plane also doesn't have flaps and at 70mm that is not very comforting. The main downfall of this aircraft is what caused my to literally disintegrate. I am a fairly experienced pilot and have flown my fair share of 80mm 70mm and 64mm and I am very good with most maneuvers. I was performing an average wingover into a dive which at around 100 feet I would start to flatten out. It was routine and on the dive the foam hinged elevator came loose causing my plane to dip and slam into the ground at around 120 mph. This once again was a routine maneuver and I have been doing them for years. The fact that there is even foam hinges on a plane this fast and thin ones at that is quite annoying and makes me a little disappointed with the quality of this freewing airplane. Again just to burn it in to y'alls heads I routinely perform this maneuver and this happened out of the blue. CONCLUSION - This plane is a very good plane but has some dangerous downfalls. This plane looks, sounds, flies very good but the foam hinges at such speed s of above 100mph simply isn't right and does not work. I would definitely however recommend this plane to anyone because in the end it is a very beautiful flying plane. Just not meant for higher G maneuvers. 4/5 stars!!!”

“I bought the high performance arctic camo F-16 from freewing as my second edf and i couldn't be happier with it. My first edf was the tophatters f-18 64mm and this jet is leaps and bounds better. Extremely fun to fly. Performance and scale appearance are top notch, plenty of power available from the high performance inrunner. My only complaint is that some of the stickers were coming loose already right from the package but it's not bad just here and there. I wish the armament package came with it from the factory, paying another $25 for some foam missles is kinda meh but i really want them so i'll probably fork over the $$. Very happy with this plane, definitely the favorite of my fleet.”

“Love this airplane, but the retract on the nose gear is an issue. Has the tendency to not come down. This is my third model and all have had the same issue. other than that it performs very well and is one of my favorite flyers.”

“Love this plane! It flies fantastic and looks great in the air. The sound of the 12 blade rotor is so smooth and quiet. It has become on of our favorite planes to fly. We fly it mostly on 6S 5000 packs but last Friday we flew it on HRB 6s 6000 and it was awesome. Still had no trouble getting it to achieve CG and with the 6000 we get a full 4 minutes of mostly full throttle flying. Flying it like an F-16. Hard, fast, and smooth. The only thing I didn't like is the nose wheel is WAY too sensitive. I had to place it on it's own channel and put 60% expo so it wouldn't tip on the wing during take off and landing. What a sweet smaller jet!”
