“Now that the V2 is out, the V1 replacement fuselage is really a V2 painted in the V1 scheme. You will quickly find out how much is different between the versions. Let's start with the complete nose gear and servo location. The servo nis not a big deal, but the "slot" that gear fits up into is over 1/4" shorter. I had to modify and shorten my nose gear in order get the wheel to fit inside at Gear Up position. There's other smaller issues that I had to overcome to. It sounds petty, but the bosses that the screws mount into for the pieces like the horizontal & vertical stabs were too big for any replacement screw and would not tighten. I literally had to take oversized screws and make the heads smaller to fit into the recessed countersinks. What a PITA. Just scrap your beautiful yellow V1 and buy the red V2.”

“This item was on backorder for many weeks. It was received in perfect condition with paint, decals and finish excellent. The major flaw is that the front landing gear from my Avanti V1 does not fit, the replacement fuselage opening is way to short. The fix is either to do a major cutting and reconstruction of the opening which would involve removing the landing gear doors and ending with a rather sizable hole enabling the gear to fit or just purchase Avanti V2 front landing gear at an additional $40 plus dollars. I wish I had known this is not an exact match I would have saved the money!”

“Arrived today, boxed and protected well with a spare set of wings and miscellaneous parts. Paint and decals look good. Cannot wait to get her back in the air. The site says you have to order decals separately but everything came pre-applied other than the tape that covers the servo leads on the wings. I still have not found that on the site. Overall experience is great.”
