“I put this beautiful bird together one armed while recovering from rotator cuff surgery. Very happy with fit and form of this Avanti, all components have checked out, still working on Specktrum nose gear gyro setup and waiting to get out of my sling before maiden. I have experienced Avanti pilots I fly with so looking forward to learning how to handle this badass bird!”
“PNP, no way, the first attempt to run the impellor with a 6S lipo the turbine prop gives a very high pitch sound. After removal, the complete impellor and removal of the turbine prop it shows that 2 of the 4 screws are lose witch causes not a good centering and case touch of the turbine prop to the casing. The cap to hold the turbine prop was also handlose. After a lot of work to solve this mishap, the motor with turbine prop runs normally but the question is how much damage will be influence the real performance after all this. My personal conclusion is that this mishap must be a very bad assembly process. Moreover, the second problem was it nose landing gear that will not come out at all. Also after inspection what will be wrong it shows that one of the door latches links was deformed in the knee and therefore its can go in but not can go out because it stays in a angle stuck behind the strut leg. After a little abrasive and a piece off silicone fuel hose over this knee of this door latch it runs as it shut be. Probably a bad batch. Further on there were no real problems in assembly off the rest. The only remark to make is that both main gear motors makes a lot of noise going in and out like a kind of a screaming gear. In compare with the nose gear motor the running of the nose gear is very quiet and smooth. I am very sory but for me never an Freewing Avanti S V2 Yellow 80mm EDF Sport Jet - PNP”

“This is my third Avanti. The first was the yellow/red/black scheme. My favorite color. Literally hundreds of flights later it was replace with the V2. Nice improvements. Awesome finish. The color just didn’t do it for me. Now the yellow V2 is excellent. The finish on the foam is improved. Wish they threw some white paint on it. Excellent planes. Highly recommended.”
