jet surprenant, de bonne manufacture, il me reste le test en vol mais vu son profil celui ci doit etre sage et serin comme le aventis idéal pour les piste en herbe avec son train solide

I submitted a previous pre-maiden review regarding build, fit and finish. Have now flown it 4 times. Great jet and once in the air it flies very much like the Avanti - might even be a bit more forgiving on landing. However, this disclaimer: I'm new to jets and after some not so great Avanti landings requiring repairs, I decided that until I'm really comfortable I'm going to use SAFE (via programmable AS3X/SAFE receivers) on final approach and landing for both the Avanti and the L-39. Doing that I just need to focus on throttle, altitude, line up, and flare - the wings will stay level. The landings have been great. In the air, the L-39 is as easy to handle as the Avanti. Once thing I've noted is that take-off requires a lot of runway, but I haven't been using flaps. This is a difference from the Avanti that develops lift at a bit lower speed. Next time out I'll use take-off half flaps and see if that improves it. Anyway, the looks of this plan is great - folks at the field love it, and it flies great. 5 stars all the way.

My first Avanti, which was my first Jet, crashed due to really stupid pilot error. So I got another Avanti - love it - but what to do with the motor-fan-ESC from the first one which was entirely intact? Read the reviews of all the ARF-Plus 80mm Fan sized jets and it seemed that the L39 was the best bet. So this review is just assembly as I'm yet to Maiden. Will write another once I fly it - maybe in a day or two weather permitting. As usual with Motion RC the plane arrived before expected with the free shipping option - Motion RC to their credit seems to have adopted the maxim: under promise and over deliver. I have to say that the fit and finish of this model is superb. Everything fits perfectly. As it was my first jet EDF install I had a little consternation as the motor didn't seem to fit right - but MotionRC customer service answered the phone and we agreed that I'd send some pictures of what was going on. Turns out I was trying to install it backwards. The motor and fan fit like a glove once I put it in correctly. I installed a Spektrum 836T receiver with AS3X and SAFE and was able to position it right at the center of gravity behind the control board. Used a piece of quarter inch balsa to help with support (see pic). Was easy and very clean. The paint scheme is really terrific, but I may add some yellow striping on the bottom of the wings for visibility. There are bright LED landing lights that come on when the gear are down that I believe will really help visibility when landing. 2 things that could be improved, but not enough to take away from 5 star rating: 1. The cammo paint can peel off if you use blue tape - which I did for some of the glued parts. I covered a small spot on the fuselage with a home-made round decal that fit the overall scheme and on the bottom created a name plate with Russian look alike font to cover another - see pics. 2. I wish the yellow nose cone went on with magnets rather than glue. I just think that the nose of these jets can protect from damage if they can pop off. No biggy. Great looking plane, goes together perfectly. Can't wait to fly it.
