Just assembled the aircraft this week. Build was simple and the aircraft is well built. I haven’t put this aircraft in the air yet due to weather conditions here in the NE.Will update the review after flying

I learned to fly on this edf,I beat the dog snot out of it.I love the gears on this plane, they work so good and motion carries spare parts.3 more of the experts edf pilots bought this L39 at my club.it really cool to watch 4 L39 taxi out and take off.we up graded our l39 with always on wing tip and nav lights also strobe on top.they look sooo good.lolI'm going to have a freewing L39 in my hangar always

The MCB has an on/off switch but nobody knows what the switch is suppose to do. Martin is trying to find out but haven't heard from him yet. I'm a little concerned to fly the bird without knowing what that damn little micro switch is for!!

This is my first EDF jet and it was purchased a few months ago from Motion RC.Having never flown an EDF before, I waited until today for the perfect weather conditions. I was so nervous and I really didn't know if I had the ability or speed of reactions to fly an EDF jet. The take off was a little longer than I expected (because I forgot to use take off flap) but it was smooth and didn't really require much control input. I decided to leave the undercarriage down and chose to fly it slowly so I could quickly familiarise myself with its slow flight capabilities to help me with my first landing. The aircraft is a pussycat, faster than I normally fly - even at 50% throttle, but she flew smooth, straight and required very little trim. I had already set my left slider as a trim and only required a fraction of up trim. After 3 minutes, it was time to prepare for landing, the first stage of flap was chosen and it settled in on approach really nicely. Due to pilot error in lining up properly I needed a last minute touch of aileron which created touch down on just one of the main gear wheels but its settled down just fine. The second flight I used a gyro and was amazed how much more dialled in it felt. On the second landing I used full flap and this improved the approach and helped settle the aircraft smoothly on to the runway.I can honestly say, this is the most fun I've had in this hobby and this is the best bit of kit I've ever flown. Well done and thanks Motion RC!
