Good flight envelope. Does everything a scale military jet should do. I found that balance is critical to good landings. I found the sweet spot on mine was about 1/2” nose heavy to do everything right. This is a great airplane for us old guys (75+) because those big wing tanks make visibility easier. Cheap retracts keeps the rating at a 4, otherwise it would be a solid 5.

Fit and finish of the plane was amazing. The plane flew very well, predictable and fast. I also loved the power it had. Unfortunately I only had one flight. On the downwind leg I added flaps and gear, that’s when it just rolled left right into the ground. I had no control whatsoever. I’d buy another but I’ll definitely bypass the blue box.

My wife ordered as an Xmas gift. Show, like many spouses, knows nothing about the hobby and accidently ordered an ARF+ instead of a PNP. She called to see if she could pay the extra amount ($399-329) and get a motor and ESC. Motion rc refused, stated that she had to spend an extra $50 to have motor and ESC sent as replacement parts. That is called gouging. You'd think that what seperates Motion rc and their higher prices, from other dealers of these models would be their customer service. NOT SO! Take this info and form your own judgment. I, for one, won't ever conduct business with them again.

A very well moulded airframe with a high class paint job. My 80mm EDF and 100amp ESC (ex Avanti) fitted easily though there were no specific instructions. Fishing the servo leads from the elevators and rudder took a bit of patience but no big deal. All minor parts and fixings included but needed careful scrutiny to see which went where. All systems worked OK on powerup. C of G spot on with 4000 6S lipo pushed forward. Not flown yet due weather.

I am very satisfied with the product I purchased. The kit is well executed, the parts can be put together precisely and easy.It flies well and now the plane will be converted to use a turbine.

I provided an earlier 5 star review of the PNP version of the T-33. Sadly, I crashed it after getting too slow in a turn while setting up for a slow pass. While the crash totaled the model, the EDF unit and ESC were undamaged. I salvaged most of the electronics as well. Rather than buy a PNP version, I opted for the ARF Plus version, since I had the power unit. When the model arrived, it was a simple matter of a drop-in, plug-in of the EDF and ESC and I was back in business. The Freewing T-33 Shooting Star is a terrific flying sport jet in a scale package. One special note here though, if you happen to stall it while in a turn, it will depart controlled flight rather quickly and enter a tight spiral, which is what lead to my crash.I had the C/G set at the factory marks and all the controls were set to the recommended throws. While making a tight descending right turn for a slow speed pass, I was at 1/4 throttle with right aileron and right rudder inputs when the right wing stalled. The model immediately flipped over into a tight 3 rotation spiral before impacting the ground. The crash was avoidable had a carried more throttle and had a shallower bank angle. When I did my first test flights with the ARF Plus version, I re-created the stall event about 4 mistakes high. I entered a stall while turning, nose high with aileron and rudder input. At the moment the wing stalled, it went into a sudden and immediate spiral. I added throttle, neutralized controls and the model recovered easily with about one mistake worth of altitude. My 5 star rating for this model has not changed, but it would be best never to enter such a condition. If one should, be prepared for a sudden, if not unexpected transformation of this model into a lawn dart.

I bought the T-33 ARF since I had put my Tiger team Mirage into the runway at speed and the 80mm EDF & ESC were still functional. This T-33 is easy to assemble and fly's great. It does require relocating the blue junction box further reward in order to accommodate a HRB 5000 battery. I get 4 minute flights with throttle management, great vertical climb rate, easy to land.

So I was excited to receive the T33 but noticed the paint was peeling off the wing. I notified Motion but they said it was normal wear and tear. Very disappointed with their response.
